Schools closed for classes 1-5 in Vellore due to heavy rain

According to officials, the Vellore district administration has decided to cancel classes for grades 1 through 5 on September 21 due to heavy rain. Several Tamil Nadu districts were battered by heavy rain. Due to Thursday’s significant rainfall in Vellore, waterlogging was seen at Konavattam along the Chennai-Bengaluru National Highway. Additionally, the interior of Tamil Nadu is expected to experience isolated heavy rainfall on September 21 and 22, according to the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) forecast.
