The Supreme Court delayed until July 17 a Delhi government petition concerning the appointment of the Chairperson of the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC).
The petition was delayed for Monday by a bench comprising Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and Justices PS Narasimha and Manoj Misra, who said it would be heard alongside the Delhi government’s appeal against the Delhi Services Ordinance.
“We will take this up on Monday with the matter challenging the constitutional validity of the Delhi Services Ordinance,” the bench said.
