Under the leadership of Dr. Savita Nehra, District Programme Officer of the Women and Child Development Department, various events were organized as part of the Nutrition Fortnight. These included activities such as the Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) program, a Tree Plantation Campaign, Nutrition Tracker Training, and an HB Test Camp.
At the HB Test Camp, all attendees underwent testing to check for anemia, and iron tablets were distributed to help combat this condition. Participants were encouraged to prioritize their health to contribute to building a healthier society.

Dr. Savita Nehra also distributed Ayurvedic plants provided by the Forest Department, highlighting their medicinal properties. She emphasized the health benefits of commonly used Indian spices and herbs such as turmeric, ginger, basil, mint, and cinnamon, which can provide relief from various ailments including colds, stress, and digestive issues.
Dr. Nehra explained how individuals can create a nutrition garden using simple items like pots, bottles, or small spaces, where they can grow nutritious plants like spinach, coriander, fenugreek, and zucchini.

Towards the conclusion of the program, participants took a pledge to prioritize nutrition, promising to fully cooperate and take care of their own and their families’ nutritional needs.
