SARITA JOSHI REVEALS WHY SHE SHOT FOR ‘METRO PARK 2’ IN HER OWN HOUSE

MUMBAI: ‘Metro Park 2’ starring Ranvir Shorey, Milind Soman, Purbi Joshi, Sarita Joshi, and Pitabosh Tripathy will premiere on Eros Now on 29 January. Sarita spoke with The Daily Guardian about the show.

Q. Tell us about your character in ‘Metro Park 2’?

I am playing a Gujarati mother to two daughters. It’s a comedy show.

Q. You are playing a mother and a mother in law which you are in reality as well, how relatable was the character to you? Are you the same in real life?

I am different from the role I play in this show. In real life, I have a glamorous life. I like going abroad for plays, and colleges for giving lectures and speeches. The character is of a housewife, she is secluded for being in the house, the background is different.

Q. How was the shooting experience?

I was shooting in India as I could not go to America due to lockdown. Every arrangement was done for shooting as the cast was in America and I was here. Every precaution was taken as the shoot was conducted in my house. It was a fun experience. 

Q. How was it working with yoiur daughter Purbi Joshi?

We are a simple Gujarati family, Purbi has seen me during plays. Just like my character I also love my children. I was excited to be a part of the show and work with Purbi. She motivated me to do this role. 

Q. We have seen you in comedy tv shows and movies, how much do you enjoy it?

In childhood, I did theatre which gave me shows and movies. I have also been a part of Gujarati movies. I am the best in my own way and that feeling comes from the theatre. Acting should be done in any form be it theatre, movies or tv shows
