The highly anticipated Saraswati Puja celebration at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, took place today amidst great enthusiasm and fervor. The 58th Saraswati Puja was celebrated on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami at the Zakir Hall, Research Block A, PGIMER. The event saw the active participation of faculty members, staff members, and students who gathered to seek the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, the deity symbolizing knowledge and wisdom as per Hindu mythology.
Dr. Radhika S, President of the Saraswati Puja celebration committee, shared her insights into the importance of the occasion. She emphasized that Basant Panchami is a Hindu festival that marks the beginning of the spring season and holds immense significance as a symbol of renewal and freshness.
Honorable Director Professor Vivek Lal, along with staff, students, and faculty members, joined in paying homage to Goddess Saraswati. Their presence emphasized the significance of preserving and honoring the cultural heritage and traditions of India.
