Central Rail Minister Ashwini Vaishnav arrived on a one-day tour in the Pink City. Here, he reviewed the redevelopment work of Jaipur Junction. On this occasion, while interacting with the media, he announced the inclusion of Sanganer station in CM Bhajan Lal Sharma’s Assembly constituency in the Amrit Bharat Yojana.
Now, instead of 83, 84 stations in the state will be developed as world-class. The Rail Minister said that Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and MP Ramcharan Bohra had demanded the inclusion of Sanganer station in the Amrit Bharat Yojana, which the Central Government has now decided to redevelop.
Meanwhile, while discussing the construction work of Jaipur Junction, he said that a Roof Plaza would be developed at a significantly higher altitude than all platforms of the railway station. A play zone will be created for children. Stalls showcasing the city will be set up on the Roof Plaza, giving travellers a unique experience. After Jaipur Junction, he also reached Sanganeer station and evaluated the arrangements.
Vaishnav, while sharing an image of Jaipur Junction, stated that the station would showcase cultural heritage. In this regard, the building is also being constructed with a heritage look. He mentioned that a very large underground parking facility is being built at Jaipur Junction. Passenger facilities are also being developed. Another entry gate to the junction will be connected through Roof Plaza.
The Rail Minister, making another announcement, said that the Vande Bharat train, which runs from Ajmer to Delhi, will now also stop at Gandhi Nagar station. This will provide great relief to travellers. Now, this train will stop at both stations in the capital. Since the inception of this train, there has been a demand for a halt at Gandhi Nagar station. MP Bohra had also discussed this matter with the Railway Minister.
Vaishnav mentioned that he has also met the Chief Minister and discussed the extensive development of railways with him. He said, “Before 2014, large states like Rajasthan were neglected by the UPA government. The budget for the state was Rs. 682 crores until 2014. Today, this budget has increased to Rs. 9532 crores for the state.”
He mentioned, “Now Rajasthan has a double-engine government, which will expedite the work. Railways are doing their part.”
However, cooperation from the state government is necessary for land acquisition and law and order. In this regard, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has suggested that the Chief Secretary and the Railway General Manager hold a monthly meeting. Every month, there will be a review of projects, and there will be a discussion on electrification.
The Chief Minister said, “Now, we will work at a faster pace. The entire map of the railway in Rajasthan will change.” He also mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s special affection for Rajasthan.
Ring Rail will be built on the lines of Ring Road: Vaishnav
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav participated in the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Dussehra ground in Adarsh Nagar. Addressing the public he said that ring rail will be built in Jaipur and all four corners of the city shall be connected through this. He further added, that with this project he can foresee major development in the state in the next 50 years.
Also, the Chief Minister and the Urban Development Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra assured that no delay or excuse will be allowed from our side regarding the Ring Rail and this plan will also be implemented as soon as possible.
The construction work of Ring Road is in full swing in the capital. The first phase from Kanota to Ajmer Road has been completed. The work on the next phase is in progress.
