However, a report in a news portal revealed if Maharashtra and Gujarat contribute positively, then the film is expected to score Rs 15 crore nett on first day. For those unaware, the actor’s past Eid releases had scored big on the first day. Bharat had earned Rs 41 crore nett. On the other hand, Bajrangi Bhaijaan had raked in around Rs 26 crore nett on its opening day.
Farhad Samji’s directorial also stars Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh, Jagapathi Babu, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, and several others. The film is said to be a remake of Tamil film Veeram. In an interview with ETimes, Farhad Samji said, “I wouldn’t call it a remake. Nor would I call it an adaptation. I would say it is a completely new experience. We’ve made our film as we thought it should be made. Those who have seen Veeram would see our film as an independent experience.”
