In an effort to bring transformative change to the lives of the state’s rural population, the Haryana Government has decided to implement 13 new projects worth more than Rs. 75 crore under the Rural Augmentation Programme in six districts: Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Jhajjar, Hisar, Kaithal, and Sirsa. Chief Minister Manohar Lal, on Wednesday, accorded administrative approval for these projects to be implemented by the Public Health Engineering Department.
Providing more information, an official spokesperson stated that the new works under the Rural Augmentation Programme include the construction of an additional S&S tank, one boosting station, and repair of existing structures at the waterworks in village Dhani Mahu, District Bhiwani, at a cost of Rs. 2.61 crore. Augmentation of the water supply scheme by constructing RCC S&S tanks, 0.50 MLD, other structures, and laying DI pipelines in village Hindol, District Charkhi Dadri, will cost Rs. 6.14 crore. Augmentation of the water supply scheme, construction of three additional structures along with laying distribution pipelines in Dadri village Sahuwas, District Charkhi Dadri, will cost Rs. 2.59 crore. Construction of independent canal-based water works in Birar by lifting raw water through pumping in Tehsil Matanhail, District Jhajjar, will cost Rs. 6.10 crore. Providing raw water arrangement for four existing water works, i.e., Khanak, Bhiwani Kirawar, Ratera, will cost Rs. 21.40 crore.
Furthermore, the laying of DI pipelines in place of old PVC/AC pipes and repair of structures of the water supply scheme in village Kuleri at an estimated cost of Rs. 7.21 crore. Improvement of the water supply scheme in village Dabra, Distt. Hisar, at an estimated cost of Rs. 6.01 crore. Improvement of the water supply scheme in villages Raipur, Dhani Raipur, and Sikarpur, Distt. Hisar, at the cost of Rs. 2.65 crore. Improvement of the Distribution System, replacement of old AC/PVC existing pipelines, and rectification of damaged water connections in Village Kharodi, Tehsil Guhla, and District Kaithal at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.92 crore. Renovation of civil structures, improvement of the distribution system, replacement of old AC/PVC existing water supply pipelines, and rectification of old damaged water connections in Village Ramgarh Pandwa, Tehsil Kalayat, District Kaithal, at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.04 crore. Providing canal-based water works at Village Ahmadpur, Distt. Sirsa (Quality Affected Village) at an estimated cost of Rs. 4.37 crore. Laying of raw water carrier and construction of intake structures near the canal for water works in Village Jamal, Distt. Sirsa, at an estimated cost of Rs. 6.29 crore. Construction of a boosting station in Village Liwalwali, Distt. Sirsa, at an estimated cost of Rs. 2.11 crore.
