In a heartwarming collaboration, the Rotaract Club Chandigarh Midtown joined hands with Ikshana to organize a special program at Senior Citizen Home Sector 15, Chandigarh. Municipal Corporation Councilor Jasbir Singh Bunty graced the occasion, adding to the festivities that aimed to bring love and affection to 30 orphan children from Don Bosco Sector 24.
The event was designed to provide these children with an experience of warmth and care they may not have encountered before. Various activities, including dancing and singing, were organized, creating an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm among both the elders and the children. The intergenerational bonding was evident as elders joyfully hummed and danced alongside the young participants.
Towards the end of the program, a thoughtful gesture unfolded as 35 mufflers, 70 pairs of socks, and stationery kits were distributed to the children, ensuring they have essential items for the upcoming winter. The distribution was followed by refreshments, further enhancing the joyous atmosphere.
Rotaract Club Chandigarh RCC President Vinod Nagpal played a pivotal role in orchestrating the successful program, which left a lasting impact on the hearts of both the elderly and the young participants. The collaborative effort of Rotaract Club Chandigarh Midtown and Ikshana exemplifies the spirit of community engagement and compassion, bringing smiles to many faces and fostering a sense of togetherness in the city.
