Road caves near India Gate, disrupts traffic

A section of asphalt caved in near Shersha road cut near India Gate in Delhi, disrupting traffic flow. According to a tweet from the Delhi Police, traffic is impacted on C- Hexagon India Gate owing to a road cave-in near the Shershah road cut.

“Commuters are advised to plan their journey accordingly,” it said. Meanwhile, rail travel across the old Yamuna bridge in the national capital was briefly halted on Tuesday after the water level in the Yamuna above the danger mark due to heavy rains in Delhi over the previous several days.
