Haryana’s Power Minister Ranjeet Singh highlighted the state’s significant progress in electricity supply, transforming a staggering Rs 3700 crore deficit in the Electricity Corporation to a commendable Rs 2000 crore profit. This positive transformation was credited to the visionary approach of the Chief Minister, empowering rural sectors with governmental services reaching the doorstep of every citizen.

Addressing the media after attending the District Public Relations and Grievance Committee’s monthly meeting at the Narnaul Panchayat Bhawan, Singh emphasized the substantial reduction in line losses by 10%, signifying a significant government success. He underscored the allocation of Rs 161 crore for removing high-voltage wires passing through village areas, ensuring the removal of these wires from parks, water bodies, and villages. This process has already commenced in the state.

Responding to queries about Haryana’s prisons, the Jail and Power Minister mentioned the Parliament’s Standing Committee’s visit to various districts, acknowledging their acknowledgment of the state’s excellent measures at multiple levels.

Furthermore, he shared insights into reforms within the prison system, highlighting the organization of lectures by knowledgeable individuals for inmates, aiming to positively influence their behavior. Plans were outlined to set up petrol pumps in 11 new jails, with responsibilities assigned to well-behaved prisoners.
