Continuous alerts regarding severe cold and fog have been issued in Punjab. According to information from the Meteorological Department, a red alert has been issued in the state until January 5. During this period, dense fog and severe cold are expected in the Majha, Malwa, and Doaba regions. The forecast suggests a prevalence of dense fog and a severe cold wave.
Additionally, a warning for rain has been issued by the Meteorological Department from January 1 to 4, not only in Punjab but also in other states, which might further intensify the cold. Scientists have predicted the likelihood of dense fog and severe cold until January 4.
