Ravinder Raina, President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir, expressed gratitude to the Modi government for what he deemed as justice rendered to all sections of society in the region. Speaking at a Press Conference held at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, Raina lauded the historic decisions made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Home Affairs Amit Shah.Accompanied by Surjit Singh Salathia, J&K BJP Vice-President, Adv. Vibodh Gupta, General Secretary, and Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, General Secretary, Raina highlighted the government’s decision to nominate MLAs in the J&K Assembly. He praised this move, stating that it would empower women, Kashmiri displaced, and PoJK refugees by allowing them to serve as MLAs in the Assembly.
“Several communities faced injustice in the erstwhile state of Jammu & Kashmir, but their voices remained unheard over the decades. Now the Modi government has empowered these communities, as nominated MLAs will be able to represent their community issues in the Assembly,” said Raina.
