Raju Punjabi, a popular Haryana’ singer known for his songs in the native language, died on Tuesday in a private hospital in Hisar. He was 40-years-old.
Raju was hospitalized roughly 10 days ago owing to an unidentified disease, and his condition deteriorated to the point that he required ventilator support, according to several Haryana news agencies. The musician appeared to be recovering and was sent home for a short while before being taken back to the hospital when his health began to deteriorate.
Raju Punjabi’s hit songs were Desi Desi, Aacha Lage Se, and Tu Cheez Lajawab. On August 12, his most recent single, ‘Aapse Milke Yaara Humko Accha Laga Tha,’ was released.
Raju Punjabi was also well-known in Punjab and Rajasthan, and he frequently collaborated with other artists like as Sapna Chaudhary.
Manohar Lal Khattar, the Chief Minister of Haryana, expressed tribute to the artist on the social media website X (previously known as Twitter). He described Raju Punjabi’s death as a “irreparable loss” to Haryana’s music industry.
According to sources, the singer’s body would be carried to his native hamlet of Rawatsar Kheda for final rites. He was now residing in Azadnagar, Hisar. Following the revelation of his death, his relatives and fans began to arrive in Hisar.
