Rajasthan’s youthful electorate takes centre stage

In Rajasthan, Saturday is being celebrated as the grand ceremony of democracy. In this ceremony, voters will decide the fate of candidates by offering the sacrifice of votes from 7 am to 6 pm. After this, the fate of the candidates locked in EVMs will be decided with the counting on December 3. All preparations related to the elections have been completed by the Election Department in the state. In this assembly election, 5,26,90,146 voters will decide the fate of the candidates at 51,507 polling centres. 2,74,846 employees have been deployed in 199 assembly constituencies for election duty. Meanwhile, a strict vigil will be maintained by the police at all polling centres for security. 6,247 sector officers and 1,02,290 security personnel from Rajasthan Police, Home Guard, RAC, and CAPF’s 700 companies have been deployed for security.
22 lakh new voters crucial for the vote
Candidates have also focused more on new voters. There are 1 crore 70 lakh 99 thousand 334 young voters in the age group of 18-30 who will exercise their voting rights. Among them, 22 lakh 61 thousand 8 new voters in the age group of 18-19 will use their voting rights for the first time, making democracy stronger.
One additional EVM machine will be with sector officers
Chief Election Officer Praveen Gupta informed that 6,287 micro-observers and 6,247 sector officers have been appointed to conduct the assembly elections independently, impartially, and peacefully, coordinating with the polling teams to immediately resolve any kind of trouble. Each sector officer will also have one additional EVM machine. They will take immediate action for improvement and replacement in case of any malfunction related to EVM. To quickly rectify any malfunction related to EVM, two engineers will also be present in each assembly. An additional EVM machine will also be with the Bell engineer.
