Rajasthan witnesses severe AQI levels across districts

The effect of Delhi’s polluted air is becoming visible in Rajasthan also. The air quality index (AQI) level has crossed 400 in Rajasthan. In India, an AQI level up to 100 is considered normal, however, for the past few days, it has been dangerously high. Several districts in Rajasthan, including Bhiwadi, Churu, Dholpur, and Ganganagar are experiencing a Delhi-like air situation. The AQI level has gone above 400 in all these districts. At the same time, the AQI level in Jaipur also reached above 300. Health experts advise that in such a situation, heart, asthma and COPD patients should be cautious.
The weather has taken a turn and if seen in such a situation, pollution is also turning into smog and spoiling people’s health. According to the report released by the Pollution Control Board, the AQI level in Jaipur remained in the red category for the second consecutive day yesterday. The AQI level was 321 in the areas of Adarsh Nagar, Raja Park and Transport Nagar of the city. At the same time, Mansarovar, Gopalpura, and Gurjar ki Thadi reached 200 to 304. In MI Road, Ajmeri Gate, Sansar Chandra Road, and Sindhi Camp, AQI was 309. In Pratap Nagar, Sanganer, Sitapura, and Jagatpura, the AQI reached 320.
The AQI level was above 335 in Muralipura, Niwaru Road, Khatipura, Jhotwara area and 328 in Shastri Nagar, Vidyadhar Nagar, Ambabadi, Bhatta Basti, and VKI area.
The level of pollution in many small cities of the state is higher than in the big cities. These small cities include Churu, Dholpur, and Ganganagar, where the AQI has gone above the 400-level mark. The situation has now worsened in the industrial city and NCR area of Bhiwadi, the AQI in these areas has gone above 400.
