Rajasthan has been honoured with the National-level Tobacco Control Excellence Award for outstanding efforts in the direction of tobacco control and prevention. This award was presented during a program organised by the Central Ministry of Health in Delhi on Friday. Rajasthan’s efforts in the field of tobacco control were appreciated during the program. It is noteworthy that the state is leading in all the activities of the Tobacco-Free Youth Campaign 2023.
Additional Chief Secretary of Medical and Health, Shubhra Singh, said that Additional Secretary Mrs Hekali Zhimo and Additional DG Dr L. Swasthicharan of the Central Ministry of Health presented the Tobacco Control Excellence Award to Rajasthan for innovations in the field of tobacco control and excellent implementation of the COTPA Act. State Nodal Officer, NTCP, Dr. S.N. Dholpuria, and Additional SP Narendra Singh received this award.
