In a significant administrative overhaul on Wednesday evening, the Bhajan Lal government of the state announced the transfer of 40 IAS officers in a list issued by the Personnel Department. This extensive reshuffling has resulted in a complete revamp of the administrative department, with 16 IAS officers also receiving additional responsibilities.
Dr Subodh Agrawal has been replaced by Abhay Kumar in this latest round of transfers. Notable changes at the higher level include T. Ravikant, Chief Secretary to CM Bhajan Lal, who has been appointed as the Chief Administrative Secretary of the Urban Development and Housing Department and Chief Administrative Secretary of the Department of Local Self-Government.
Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant has been entrusted with additional responsibilities as the Chief Residential Commissioner in New Delhi and Administrator of Raj Bhavan in Jaipur. The government has replaced the Jodhpur Zonal Commissioner, appointing Utsah Choudhary as the new Commissioner of the Jodhpur Zone. Simultaneously, Manju Rajpal has been designated as the Commissioner of Jaipur Zone.
Notably, the Bhajan Lal government had previously changed district collectors in over 30 districts in recent days, followed by changes in ADMs and SDMs.
