Rajasthan Mission-2030: CM Gehlot seeks input from diverse sectors

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, in a dialogue with stakeholders, including industrialists and businessmen stated that the Rajasthan government is working ambitiously on “Rajasthan Mission-2030” to make Rajasthan the leading state in the country in every sector by the year 2030. He emphasized the importance of active participation from every individual to accelerate the progress of the state. The state government is seeking advice and suggestions from around 1 crore people to create the “Vision-2030 Document” for Rajasthan based on their aspirations.
Gehlot addressed various stakeholders from industries, business, dairy, mining, commerce, environment, healthcare, and the arts during the Rajasthan Mission-2030 program held at Bhilwara’s Town Hall on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister highlighted that Rajasthan provides a conducive environment for industries, offering various facilities and packages to industrialists. This has increased the confidence of both national and international investors, leading to the establishment of many units in the state. He mentioned the upcoming refinery and petrochemical complex in Barmer, which will generate significant employment opportunities and boost the state’s economic development. Gehlot also addressed the temporary electricity shortage due to reduced rainfall in August and assured efforts to provide adequate electricity to industries. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot pointed out the remarkable progress made by the state in various areas such as social security, education, healthcare, information technology, women’s empowerment, employment, economic development, basic infrastructure development, and solar energy. Gehlot mentioned the introduction of the Right to Health (RTI) Act in the state, which is unique and not present in any other Indian state. He also discussed the Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme, which provides health insurance of up to 25 lakhs to residents.
He emphasized the establishment of numerous educational institutions in Rajasthan, including IITs, AIIMS, law colleges, and Ayurvedic universities, which have contributed to the educational development of the state. This has reduced the need for young people to go outside the state for higher education. Gehlot praised the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) as a crucial and revolutionary scheme that provided employment to people during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Rajasthan government has extended the scope of NREGA in the state from 100 days to 125 days.
Additionally, an urban version of the scheme, named the Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme, has been launched, providing 125 days of employment in urban areas as well.
During the program, Chief Minister Gehlot engaged with industrialists, businessmen, and stakeholders from various sectors, seeking their suggestions and recommendations. He emphasized that just like how the state budget included suggestions from different sections, the Vision-2030 Document would also incorporate ideas from various sources. Education Minister B.D. Kalla, Revenue Minister Ram Lal Jat, Industries and Commerce Minister Shrimati Shakuntala Rawat, Labour Minister Sukhram Vishnoi, Chairman of the Public Grievance Redressal Committee Pukhraj Parashar, and Sandeep Choudhary, Chairman of the Barren Land Development Board, along with other public representatives and industrialists from different sectors were present at the meeting.
