‘Rahul Relaunch’ BJP’s jibe ahead of Halla Bol

On Sunday, the BJP made fun of the Congress’s Halla Bol rally, where Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to speak. BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala said NASA had been in touch with the Congress to inquire about how they were able to repeatedly “launch” a faulty rocket. The fifth season of “Rahul Relaunch” kicks off at the Halla Bol rally.

The Congress’s Hall Bol campaign against unemployment, rising prices, and a GST hike on necessities signals the start of the party’s nationwide campaign against the BJP. Rahul Gandhi will begin his 3,500-kilometer Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir on September 7th.

The rally takes place while the party’s presidential election is just days away and Congress is experiencing an internal crisis. Ghulam Nabi Azad’s bitter exit has also drawn attention to the Congress’s election campaign since Azad wrote in a five-page letter that the party should have attempted to bring its many factions together rather than adopting the “Bharat Jodo” strategy.

Congress MP Jairam Ramesh claimed that the rally and the campaign have nothing to do with the 2024 Lok Sabha election prior to the event, which also happens to be Ghulam Nabi Azad’s first speech in Jammu following his departure from the Congress. According to Jairam Ramesh, price increases and unemployment are currently the biggest issues facing the general populace.

Following the detention of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi on August 5 for participating in the Black Day protest in New Delhi, today’s event will be the Congress’s first significant demonstration. The BJP asserted that the Congress selected August 5 because it was the day Prime Minister Modi dedicated the Ram Temple’s foundation two years prior, sparked controversy.
