Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attacked BJP and its ideological parent RSS claiming that that their ideology of ‘hatred’ was damaging the institutional framework of India.
Speaking at a press conference at Kothur, Rahul said “The Judiciary, bureaucracy and media are under attack when the Congress party comes back to power. We are going to make sure that these institutions are freed from the grip of the RSS. A certain independence will be maintained in these institutions that and will be implemented rapidly after Congress comes to power. “
He also claimed that business environment was unfair since capitalism was creating monopolies across the country and affecting small and medium-sized businesses. Explaining the importance of a united opposition against the BJP, Rahul said, “The fight in India today is between two ideologies, one is seeking to divide the nation, the other is to unite the nation. Congress feels it is very important that the opposition works together harmoniously to defeat the ideology of the RSS and BJP.”
Rahul also expressed confidence regarding its performance in the Gujarat elections and attacked AAP, claiming it does not have strength on the ground. He further said, “My job is to carry out this yatra from Kanykumari to Kashmir. Lakhs of people are welcoming this yatra. “
