During the late hours of Monday night, the state saw the first spell of winter rain. The drizzle began late at night in districts like Jaipur, Bharatpur, and Kota. In Jaipur, light rain was observed around 2 am, bringing a slight relief from the biting cold after the rainfall.
Chittorgarh, Baran, and Dhaulpur witnessed rainfall ranging from 1 to 6 mm. In Chittorgarh, there was a thunderstorm with lightning and rain late Monday night. Between Kota and Baran, many places experienced more than 6 mm of rainfall. In Sawai Madhopur on Tuesday morning, light rain was reported in some areas. The rain proved beneficial for farmers cultivating the Rabi crops. Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Barmer, Jalore, and Jodhpur, among other districts, experienced fog on Tuesday morning. The minimum temperature in Jodhpur was 9.5 degrees Celsius, in Sri Ganganagar it was 7.8 degrees Celsius, in Barmer-Bikaner it was 7.7 degrees Celsius, and in Jaisalmer, it was 7 degrees Celsius.
There has been a rise in the minimum temperatures. In the hill station Mount Abu, the night temperature was below freezing, which increased to 3 degrees Celsius, up from minus temperatures. In Jaipur, after 10 days, the minimum temperature rose above 10 degrees Celsius.
Udaipur also saw an increase, reaching 15 degrees Celsius from a minimum of 5 degrees Celsius. In Fatehpur near Sikar, the minimum temperature increased by two to three degrees Celsius, reaching around 10 degrees Celsius.
In Jaipur, light rain began between 2 am and 3 am on Monday night. Apart from urban areas like Sanganer, Pratap Nagar, Sitapura, Malviya Nagar, and Jagatpura, in rural areas like Chaksu, Shivdaspura, Kotkhawada, Bassi, there were light drizzles. The minimum temperature in Jaipur on Tuesday was recorded at 11.9 degrees Celsius.
