Punjab State Ministerial Services Union staged a protest and dharna in Bathinda for the fulfillment of their demands. The demonstrators expressed dissatisfaction with the non-fulfillment of their demands and issued a stern warning of continued agitation. They demand the restoration of the old pensions for clerical staff recruited after 2004, elimination of discrepancies in the disbursement of benefits without commission since January 1, 2016, and immediate implementation of the 12% DA hike from January 1, 2015, to July 17, 2020. Other demands included reviving the ACPS scheme, refunding the Rs 2000 development tax, resolving the pending Bhatha Pendi issue, and swift resolution of remaining demands. The protesters, through a peaceful demonstration, declared a work stoppage by relinquishing their pens. They emphasized that the Akali government had granted them a significant scale in 2011, but subsequent governments had failed to address their concerns. They insisted that the government should face strong opposition in the upcoming times. The demonstrators emphasized that their demands were vital for the welfare and rights of the clerical staff. They issued a stern warning, indicating their determination to intensify the struggle if their demands were not met promptly.
