Punjab School Education Board Class 12 and 8 board exam results announced

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has declared the results of the Class 12 board examination 2024, on April 30. Students can access their results from the official website at pseb.ac.in starting tomorrow, May 1, 10 AM onwards. Access requires logging in with the respective roll number and security code, or alternatively via SMS and Digilocker.
An impressive 93 percent of students have cleared the Class 12 exams this year, with boys achieving a pass rate of 97 percent compared to 96 percent among girls.
Out of the 2,84,452 students who appeared for the PSEB 12 exam, a significant 2,64,662 candidates have successfully passed. Ekampreet Singh of BCM Senior Secondary School in Ludhiana secured the highest score with a perfect score.

District-wise performance highlights reveal Amritsar as the top-performing district with a pass rate of 97.27 percent, whereas Shri Muktsar Sahib reports the lowest pass percentage at 87.86 percent. In a concurrent announcement, the PSEB has released the Class 8th exam results. Harnoorpreet Kaur of Bathinda secured the first position, followed by Gurleen Kaur of Amritsar and Armandeep Singh of Sangrur. However, this year, 4641 candidates will have to re-appear for the Class 8 examination, with the results of 289 candidates withheld.
According to the latest data, 291,917 candidates appeared for the Class 8 exams, out of which 286,987 have passed. Government schools exhibited a pass percentage of 98.07%, non-government schools at 99.31%, and aided schools at 96.76%. The pass percentage among girls stood at 98.83%, while boys achieved 97.84%.
