The Punjab government has released the program schedule for Republic Day celebrations. A state-level event will take place in Patiala, where Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit will unfurl the national flag and take the salute during the march-past. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will hoist the national flag in Ludhiana on January 26, 2024, while Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan and Deputy Speaker Shri Jai Kishan Rodi will unfurl the national flag in Bathinda and Gurdaspur, respectively.
Providing details of the events and chief guests in different districts, the spokesperson mentioned that Finance, Planning, and Taxation Minister Mr. Harpal Singh Cheema will be in Jalandhar, New and Renewable Energy and Printing Material Minister Mr. Aman Arora in Amritsar, Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur Faijlkot in Fazilka, Sports and Youth Services Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer in Firozpur, NRIs Affairs and Administrative Reforms Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhillon in Malerkotla, Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education and Research Minister Dr. Balbir Singh in Muktsar Sahib, Revenue and Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Bram Shankar Jimpaa in Mansa, Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Forest Minister Lal Chand in Faridkot, Transport and Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar in Sangrur, School Education, Higher Education and Technical Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Power and Public Works Minister Harbhajan Singh Rupnagar in Rupnagar, Defence Services Welfare and Freedom Fighters Minister Chetan Singh Jora in Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar, Labour and Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Miss Anmol Gagan Maan in Tarn Taran, Local Bodies and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Balkar Singh Moga and Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian in Pathankot will hoist the national flag.
