Governor Kalraj Mishra has issued orders for the appointment of Chancellors at Rajasthan University, Jaipur, and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya University, Sikar. Mishra made these appointments on the recommendation of the University Chancellor Search Committee, with the advice of the state government.
According to orders issued from Raj Bhavan, Professor Alpana Kateja has been appointed as the Chancellor of Rajasthan University. Professor Kateja is a senior professor in the Economics Department of Rajasthan University. On the other hand, Professor Anil Kumar Ray, the head of the Department of Human Rights and Sociology at Mahatma Gandhi International University, Wardha, has been appointed as the Chancellor of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University, Sikar. Their appointments will be for a term of 3 years or until they reach the age of 70, whichever comes first. “I will create a better educational environment at the university,” says Kateja
