Today, the Minister of Social Security, Women and Child Development, Dr. Baljeet Kaur, convened a meeting at the Civil Secretariat to expedite the process of clearing the backlog of persons with disabilities.
During the meeting, discussions were held with Amrit Singh, Director of Employment Generation and Training Department, Amarbir Kaur Bhullar, Secretary of Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board, and officials from the Social Security Department regarding the prompt filling of backlog positions for persons with disabilities.
Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljeet Kaur mentioned that the Punjab government is diligently working across various departments to fill the backlog of reserved positions for the disabled community.
The Minister directed the Employment Generation and Training Department to set up camps and complete the necessary documentation swiftly to expedite this process.
Dr. Baljeet Kaur instructed officials to ensure the swift completion of this process so that no individual with disabilities crosses the age limit and misses out on job opportunities. The ongoing actions to fill the backlog positions for persons with disabilities were briefed to officials during this meeting by the Directors of the Employment Generation and Training Department and the Secretary of the Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board.
