Panic ensued at a National Hill View Public School in RR Nagar, Bengaluru, after the school received a hoax bomb threat through email on Monday.
On seeing the threat email at around 8:30 am, the school management informed the police and shifted the children to an alternate campus as a security measure.
“A private school in Ideal Township of Rajarajeshwarinagar in South Bengaluru has received a bomb threat through email. Bomb disposal squad and sniffer dog squad have inspected school premises. Students made to vacate school premises”, news agency ANI quoted Laxman B. Nimbargi, DCP West Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, the bomb squad, sniffer dog squad and the local police rushed to the spot.
Earlier, in April 5, various schools in the city received bomb threats. The school includes DPS Varthur, Gopalan International School, New Academy School, St. Vincent Paul School, Indian Public School Govindpura, Ebenezer International School, and electronic city.
However, the school has declared a holiday over the incident, and an investigation is underway.
