Principal Secretary Culture, Suresh Kumar Gupta, explores Pandavas site

Suresh Kumar Gupta, the Principal Secretary of Culture, embarked on a significant visit today to the ancient Pandavas site at Shiva Dal and the Ek Mukhi Shiv Mandir, assessing the infrastructure and facilities available for visitors in preparation for the upcoming Maha Shivratri festival. These revered religious destinations attract thousands of devotees from various corners of the country during this auspicious occasion.

Accompanied by Seva Ram Parihar, President of Ek Mukhi Shiv Mandir Samiti Mohalla, and other esteemed members of the samiti, the Principal Secretary delved into understanding the historical and cultural significance of these sacred sites. Stressing the importance of collaborative efforts in preserving and safeguarding our cultural heritage, he expressed keen interest in enhancing the infrastructure to ensure a memorable experience for pilgrims and tourists alike.

During his visit, Suresh Kumar Gupta acknowledged the immense potential of these heritage sites in drawing visitors not only from within Jammu and Kashmir but also from across India and beyond. He pledged to take requisite measures to bolster the infrastructure at these pilgrimage sites, recognizing their role in bolstering the regional economy.

Seva Ram Parihar provided insights into the various promotional activities undertaken by the Samiti, highlighting initiatives such as the organization of a two-day langar sewa during the Mata Machail Yatra at the Pandavas site Shiva Dal last year. Such efforts aim to enrich the spiritual experience of visitors while fostering a deeper connection with these revered sites of religious and cultural significance.
