President Minister Narendra Modi and President Draupadi Murmu have congratulated their peers on the occasion of Singapore’s National Day. President Murmu issued an official communiqué to Singapore. President Halimah Yacob expressed her gratitude and asked for the two nations’ bilateral relationship to be strengthened and diversified in areas such as commerce, investment, defense, financial technology, skill development, and people-to-people linkages.
The President further expressed her desire for increased cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of India and Singapore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised India and Singapore’s robust, broad-based, and comprehensive strategic alliance in a letter to his counterpart Lee Hsien Loong.
PM Modi additionally expressed gratitude for Singapore’s continued participation as a G20 Guest Country this year and expressed hope for sustained support in accomplishing important G20 Presidency objectives.
