Portal launch : First pilgrimage to Ayodhya post-January 22 announced

Chief Minister Manohar Lal stated that continuous efforts are being made by Ramleela committees to build a society based on the ideals of Lord Ram. Now, it’s crucial to play a significant role in creating a society free from intoxication for the devotees of Lord Ram. This involves not just acting as guards but also initiating an awareness campaign and becoming the eyes of administration and government. The Chief Minister addressed people as the main guest at the Sri Ram Bhakt Honor Ceremony organized at Purushottampura Bag, Brahma Sarovar on Tuesday.
On this occasion, he also launched the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Plan portal. Under this plan, people aged 60 or above in BPL families will be able to travel to pilgrimage sites for free. He announced that the first group for Ayodhya would depart after January 22 under this scheme. In the first-ever Sri Ram Bhakt Honor Ceremony held in the state, the Chief Minister honored over 325 Ramleela committee officials and artists. He appreciated their work and urged them to continue the efforts.
He emphasized the need to connect those wandering astray back to the mainstream by running a campaign against intoxication. Additionally, he highlighted the destruction of addictive substances worth over 140 crore rupees in the past year and the confiscation of properties of 90 people involved in the drug trade, some of whom are also in jail.
During the Honor Ceremony, he launched the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Plan portal, revealing that booking for a train coach has already begun and the first group for Ayodhya will leave after January 22, followed by its expansion. He stated that the inauguration of the Sri Ram Temple on January 22 will mark a Diwali celebration across the country, signifying the significant event.
