In a run up to the assembly and Lok Sabha elections all the political factions are on toes to ensure victory and apart from this, the battle for supremacy is going on among the stalwarts of many parties. Be it the ruling saffron BJP or the main opposition party Congress, several bigwigs from both factions are leaving no stone unturned to strengthen their position as well as prove their dominance over each other. As a part of the preparations of the polls, the saffron BJP had come up with a massive organisational replacing OP Dhankhar with Naib Saini from the post of state party president which led to new political speculations and talks ahead of polls. Besides, the prolonged feud among the senior party leaders in the Congress continues to remain, adding to the woes of the party high command.
In continuation to aforesaid, it is worth mentioning that the congress continues to witness widened rift among the party bigwigs. Former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda currently has the upper hand as well as unilateral hold in Haryana Congress. Everyone is familiar with fact that he has a big stature in the party in Haryana. Although the opposition trio within the party, Kumari Selja, Kiran Choudhary and Randeep Surjewala (SRK) are continuously on toes to weaken him as well strengthen their position in the party. While Hooda’s supporters are continuously promoting him as the CM face of the party, in a reaction to this, the opposition trio is continuously of the opinion that the party high command is the supreme authority to take final call to decide who will be the CM face. Even the bigwigs do mention from time to time that Hooda is a dominating face in Haryana Congress which depicts a lot about his position in the party. The party high command is also pretty aware that Hooda cannot be ignored. Besides, the party is also giving importance to Selja, Kiran Chaudhary and Surjewala in order to strike balance.
Few days ago, showcasing her desire to contest assembly polls again, Kumari seleja said that she is willing to contest elections but the party high command is the supreme authority to take final call pertaining to this. She also said that after the completion of elections in five states, she will undertake a yatra in all the ten Lok Sabha constituencies of the state.Presently, Selja does not seem to be in such a strong position to compete with Hooda.
Similarly, BJP stalwart Chaudhary Virendra Singh does not seem in a comfortable and strong position in the party for a long time. He is at loggerheads with Dushyant Chautala for a long time who holds the portfolio of the Deputy CM and an ally in the power. He is of the opinion that BJP should get rid of ally JJP as soon as possible. Continuing the alliance with JJP might weaken the BJP. Both factions Dushyant and Birender Singh are eyeball to eyeball over being dominant in Hisar Lok Sabha and Uchana seat. Resembling Congress stalwarts, the BJP leaders can be witnessed at loggerheads with each other over battle of political dominance.
Apart from this, the Chief Minister Manohar Lal is mulling over every possible move to get a shot in the arm ahead of polls. He succeeded in proving his mettle through the appointment of Nayab Saini as the state chief. Nayab Saini is believed to be in good books of the Chief Minister Manohar Lal, It is a noticeable fact that CM Manohar Lal played a major role in appointing him to the post which clearly indicates his political stature in the party. He is close to PM Narendra Modi and it is almost evident from the ongoing political scenario that the party will fight the upcoming elections under his leadership. Besides, the tussle between Chief Minister Manohar Lal and Home Minister Anil Vij continue to come the fore. Ruling ally JJP which contested 19 seats unsuccessfully in Rajasthan, is leaving no stone unturned to strengthen itself . Political experts opine that the result of Rajasthan polls is likely to have far reaching implications on the state politics.
