Police shootout in Mohali after Amritsar car snatching incident

In Mohali, a clash erupted between the police and criminals from nearby Chandigarh. Gunfire ensued from both sides in Badmajra village. The criminals were heading from Amritsar towards Mohali after snatching a car. Police set up a barricade to apprehend the criminals, who retaliated by opening fire on the police. In response, the police also fired shots. Subsequently, the criminals abandoned an Audi car at the scene and fled.
Upon receiving information, police officials arrived at the scene. The surrounding area has been sealed off by the police. A search operation is underway for the criminals, with suspicions that they might be hiding nearby. These criminals had snatched a car from a doctor at gunpoint in Amritsar on Saturday night.
In a posh area of Amritsar on Majitha Road, on Saturday night, armed assailants fired shots and fled after snatching a car from Dr KD, the wife of Dr KD from KD Hospital, who was being escorted by their family friend, Dr Taran Berry, in his Audi. Amid the chaos, fearing for their safety, the doctor managed to halt the car, prompting the assailants to flee the scene.
