Police officer seen kicking devotees offering Namaz

A Delhi Police officer has been suspended and is subject to disciplinary proceedings following an incident where he was seen in a viral video kicking and assaulting a small group of men participating in namaz alongside a bustling road in Inderlok. The authenticity of the video could not be verified immediately by this daily.
“The police post in charge seen in a viral video of the Inderlok area has been suspended,” while necessary disciplinary action is being taken against the policemen seen in the viral video, said DCP North M.K. Meena.

The incident occurred during the ‘Asar ki namaz’ at approximately 2 p.m. near Inderlok Metro Station. In reaction, residents obstructed the road, urging authorities to take action against the police officer. This resulted in increased security measures in the vicinity to ensure the maintenance of law and order. The incident was reportedly captured on video and has gained widespread attention on social media. In the video, a cop is seen kicking a few people while they were performing the namaz.
In the first video of approximately 30 seconds, the cop seems to be attempting to scatter a group of men engaged in prayers near a mosque.
