Ahead of a protest aimed at highlighting the issue of unemployment outside Chief Minister Manohar Lal’s residence, police resorted to lathi charge against Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers. According to reports, clashes erupted between AAP workers and police during the planned protest, resulting in injuries to several AAP leaders. Some have been taken into custody.
Involved in this demonstration were AAP state president Sushil Gupta, senior vice president Anurag Dhanda, and other party leaders, who also sustained injuries. The party had organized this protest program to address the issue of unemployment.
It is noteworthy that before this demonstration, senior vice president Anurag Dhanda accused the police of trying to thwart the party’s protest scheduled to be held outside the Chief Minister’s residence in Karnal. He alleged that AAP workers and leaders were being threatened by the police.
