PM to address rally in Punjab, Yogi in Chandigarh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold rallies in support of BJP candidates in Punjab on May 23 and 24. He will address rallies in Patiala on the 23rd and in Gurdaspur and Jalandhar on the 24th. Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar provided this information. He mentioned that a meeting will be held today to decide the specific locations of the rallies in the three Lok Sabha constituencies, after which preparations will begin.

In Patiala, PM Modi will address a rally in favour of Candidate Preneet Kaur. In Chandigarh, Yogi Adityanath will address a rally in Maloya on 20 May. A senior BJP leader has revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to address seven rallies across Punjab’s 13 Lok Sabha segments. With the stakes high for the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in Punjab, scheduled for June 1, the party is set to launch an intense campaign starting Monday. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will kick off the campaign with a rally in the state and is likely to address five rallies in total.

In addition to Modi and Shah, other senior BJP leaders are expected to join the campaign trail. These include Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda.

In a noteworthy development, Punjab BJP Chief Sunil Jakhar recently wrote a letter to Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, urging him to address three rallies in Ludhiana, Batala, and Jalandhar. “We are receiving significant demand from grassroots workers for your rallies in Punjab. Your governance style in Uttar Pradesh has made you highly popular here,” Jakhar stated, extending an invitation for Yogi to stay overnight in Ludhiana.
