PM Narendra Modi will address the National Conference of Labor Ministers of the States and the Union Territories on 25 August.
This conference is being organized by the Union Ministry of Labor and Employment on 25-26 August. The conference has been organized in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, and is a two-day conference.
Meanwhile, labor ministers of all states and union territories will participate in this conference. A statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office said that on August 25, at 4.30 pm, the Prime Minister will address the conference through video conference.
The PMO said the conference will have four sessions. In the spirit of cooperative federalism, this conference has been organized to discuss important issues related to labor to formulate better policies and effective implementation of labor welfare schemes between the central and state governments.
Moreover, it has been told that the conference votes will also discuss the integration of the e-Shram portal, so that social security schemes run by the central and state governments can be brought on it.
However, apart from this, key points related to the social security of workers include the Swasthya Se Samriddhi initiative of improving health services through ESI hospitals run by State Governments, formulation of important rules of the Labor Code, and modalities for their implementation will be discussed.
