PM Modi unveils vision for rural women’s empowerment

Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra through a video conference on Wednesday. On this occasion, he mentioned that the campaign to connect with the resolution of Viksit Bharat is continuously expanding. The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has not yet completed 50 days, but it has already reached 2.25 lakh villages, setting a record in itself. He expressed gratitude to everyone for their contributions to its success.

Modi stated that the purpose of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is to reach individuals who, for various reasons, have been excluded from the Indian government’s schemes. In addition to this, the second objective is to assure them that government schemes are accessible to everyone without bias or discrimination. The focus is on identifying those who have been left out.

He mentioned that during the journey, 4.5 lakh new applications have been submitted for Ujjwala gas connections, and 1 crore Ayushman cards have been issued. Furthermore, 1.25 crore health check-ups have been conducted, and 70 lakh people have been tested for tuberculosis. This initiative aims to raise awareness about health across the country.

Modi highlighted the government’s significant campaign to provide self-employment opportunities to women in villages, thereby boosting the rural economy. Over the past few years, around 10 crore women in the country have joined self-help groups. These sisters have been assisted with more than seven lakh crore rupees through banks. The Prime Minister announced a target of creating 2 crore “Lakhpati Didi” in the next three years to expand this campaign further. He also mentioned the Namo Drone Didi Yojana, designed to enhance the self-confidence of rural women.

Families under Ujjwala scheme to get cylinders for Rs 450: CM Bhajan Lal

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced significant relief for the people of the state. He said that the families connected to the Ujjwala scheme in Rajasthan will receive a gas cylinder for Rs. 450 starting from January 1. Following this, Bhajan Lal has stated that the implementation of this scheme will be in accordance with the promises made in the BJP’s resolution letter.

It is worth mentioning that beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme are being provided a gas cylinder by the Modi government for Rs. 600. However, now, in the state, the Bhajan Lal government will provide gas cylinders to families connected to the Ujjwala scheme for Rs. 450. The remaining amount of Rs. 150 will be borne by the state government at its level.
