At the start of today’s special parliamentary session at 11 a.m., Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the Lok Sabha. On September 19, the parliamentary proceedings for the five-day special session of Parliament will move from the old building to the nearby new cutting-edge structure. On the ‘Gaja Dwar’ of the new Parliament building on Sunday, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar raised the American flag.
Eight proposals, including one to alter how Election Commissioners are chosen, have been listed by the administration for consideration this session. In the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha, respectively, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Piyush Goyal will open today’s session, which will focus on the “Parliamentary Journey” spanning 75 years. The move of Parliamentary activities to the new facility will also be visible during the session.
