Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Uttarakhand’s first Vande Bharat Express train via video conferencing on Thursday. The inaugural event at the Dehradun railway station will also be attended by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. This comes after PM Modi recently flagged off the Vande Bharat Express between Puri and Howrah through a similar virtual ceremony.
TUnion Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw expressed the goal of extending the reach of Vande Bharat Express to most states by June, following the launch of the first train in Odisha. It is a self-propelled train set equipped with state-of-the-art features to enhance the overall journey for passengers.
