PM Modi is scheduled to visit Ayodhya on the eve of Diwali to celebrate Deepotsav

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday for the Deepotsav celebrations, just a day before India celebrates Diwali, the festival of lights. He will also perform puja at the Ram temple. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to visit the holy city on Wednesday to assess preparations for the Deepotsav celebrations. Adityanath’s visit to Ayodhya will be his fourth in about a month.

As the two-day review meeting of the Ram Mandir Construction Committee (RMCC) concluded in Ayodhya on Monday, members of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust stated that approximately 50% of the Ram Mandir construction work is completed.The Prime Minister may also attend the Saryu Aarti in Ayodhya. For the occasion, green digital fireworks have been planned. Ayodhya, also known as Saket, is an ancient Indian city located on the banks of the river Saryu. It is said to be Lord Ram’s birthplace and the setting for the great epic Ramayana.Ramlila performances by artists from Russia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Fiji are set to be the main highlights of the three-day Deepotsava celebrations, which begin on Sunday. During the three-day celebration, 17 lakh diyas or lamps, many of which are made of cow dung, will be lit, setting a new record.
