PM Modi explains reason of why he took metro to centenary function of Delhi University

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the Delhi metro to attend the centennial celebrations of Delhi University on Friday. He also posted photos of his journey on Twitter, expressing his joy at having young people as fellow passengers, and spoke about the experience while addressing the crowd at the event.

The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Twitter account also shared a video of PM Modi entering the metro premises using smart cards amid tight security. He boarded a yellow line metro train bound for Samaypur Badli station, and Vishwavidyalaya metro station is a midway stop on that route, as well as the closest station to the DU campus area.

Initially seen in the video boarding an empty metro compartment, the PM later shared photos of his interactions with other passengers. “Taking the Delhi Metro to the DU program.” “I’m glad to have kids as co-passengers,” he tweeted, along with the photos.

While speaking at the DU function, he shared his metro travel experience. “Coming to campus is more enjoyable when you travel with colleagues.”

Two friends talking about everything under the sun, from Israel to the Moon. Dekhi kaunsi film? (What movie did you watch?) OTT par wo series achhi hai? (Is it worth watching that series on OTT?) Wo wali reel dekhi ya nahi dekhi? (Have you seen the Instagram reel trend?) So today, I also took the Delhi metro to talk with my young friends,” Prime Minister Modi said.

PM Modi congratulated the prestigious central university on its 100th anniversary on Thursday, writing on Twitter, “Looking forward to joining the University of Delhi’s centenary celebrations at 11 AM tomorrow, 30th June.” For a century, DU has been nurturing talent and fostering intellectual growth as a premier center of learning. Congratulations to the DU fraternity on this historic achievement.”
