PM Modi congratulates team India after defeating Pakistan in Asia Cup 2022

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the team India for winning their opening match against Pakistan at T20 Asia Cup on Sunday.

Taking to Twitter PM Modi said, “Team India put up a spectacular all-round performance in today’s Asia Cup 2022 match. The team has displayed superb skill and grit. Congratulations to them on the victory.”

The second match of Asia Cup 2022 was played between India and Pakistan at Dubai International Stadium on Sunday. Pakistan defeated India badly in the last match of the T20 World Cup 2021.

India avenged that previous defeat by defeating Pakistan by 5 wickets in this match. In this match, India won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first.

Coming to bat first, Pakistan’s team started struggling from the beginning and could not even play its full 20 overs in the match.

Pakistan’s team was bundled out for just 147 runs in 19.5 overs. Chasing the target, India won the match by 5 wickets and started their Asia Cup 2022 tournament with a win.
