With the aim of promoting self-employment and entrepreneurial skills among students, the Placement Cell and Institutions Innovation Cell (IIC) of Post Graduate Government College Sector-46 Chandigarh organised the ‘Kaarigari Se Karobari-Self Help Group Festival.
‘The fest was inaugurated by Dr. Abha Sudarshan, the Principal of the college. Dr. Sudarshan mentioned that such ventures create opportunities for self-employment, instilling the values of teamwork and innovation in the youth, and encouraging young entrepreneurs to showcase their skills.
Students from all streams actively participated in the fest, with 43 stalls set up by students where various types of products, arts & crafts, and games were sold. In total, more than 800 students participated, and student stall owners earned a handsome profit over their investment.
The fest was organised under the guidance of Dr. Baljit Singh, Vice Principal of the college. Dr. Mukesh Chauhan and Dr. Gobinda Chander Sethi were the Coordinator and Co-coordinator, respectively. Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Dean, appreciated this endeavor.
