On Sunday, a Nepali sherpa guide climbed Mount Everest for the 26th time, becoming only the world’s second person to do so.
Pasang Dawa Sherpa, 46, shared the record number of summits with Kami Rita Sherpa, according to Bigyan Koirala, a government tourism official. Kami Rita, who is currently climbing Everest, could set another record if he makes it to the summit.
Pasang reached the top with a Hungarian client, said an official of his employer Imagine Nepal Treks, a hiking company.
