The Department of Education, Panjab University hosted a vibrant Alumni Meet. The event witnessed sharing of experiences and insights by the distinguished alumni, faculty and the students. The highlight of the event was a special felicitation of Prof. Tehal Kohli with acitation recognizing her exemplary dedication to teaching.
Today at 82 years of age, she is a luminary in the field of education. She underscored the pivotal role of university, expressing that being a researcher means embracing the threefold journey of teaching, research and extension activities. She also shared her wisdom and encouraged everyone present by stating, “The world is a camera; keep smiling.”
Richa Sharma, the officiating Principal of Dev Samaj College of Education, graced the alumni meet with her presence. Dev Samaj Trust has been a close associate of the Department of Education, fostering a collaboration in educational objectives and shared values. The Chairperson, Prof. Satvinderpal Kaur expressed gratitude for the collective achievements of the department. She emphasized the importance of fostering a strong network among alumni, current students and the faculty to create a supportive educational community. The Chairperson also acknowledged the challenges and opportunities in this ever-evolving landscape of education and emphasised that collaborative efforts and endeavors will aid in enhancing the Department’s success.
