In the village of Billa, illegal farmhouses are set to be demolished, and five government and private institutions not depositing house tax will face closure. The Municipal Corporation has also decided to recover 25 crore rupees from mobile tower companies.
The decision was made during a meeting of the Revenue Realization Committee of the Municipal Corporation held on Wednesday, chaired by Panchkula Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal. The committee reviewed the work of the Building Committee and officials informed that the Municipal Corporation has received only 39 lakh rupees so far in terms of building approval plans and development charges from various farmhouses, houses, and showrooms built in the district.
