Friday witnessed a grand event organized by the Panchkula branch of Bharat Vikas Parishad at the Parishad building in Sector 12A. Approximately 64 students from nearly 16 schools in Panchkula participated in a written examination. The event was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Atul Garg from Arvin Care Group of Companies, Haryana State Chief Anuj Agrawal, Director of the Trust Group of Companies, Subhash Jindal, and others. From the Bharat Vikas Parishad, Piyush Jain, Deepak Dua, Subhash Mangal, Dr. L.N. Gupta, Dr. R.S. Chandra, N.K. Kapoor, Ashok Gupta, Dr. B.B. Goyal, Suresh Mittal, Usha Bansal, Dr. Shilpa Jain, Usha Gupta, Sunita Mangal, Sushma Rajpal, Preeti Aroda, and Sangeeta Garg, among over 20 members, graced the occasion.
A written exam was conducted for the children, followed by participation from 8 teams from senior and junior classes. The competition was efficiently managed by Dr Shilpa Jain and Manisha Gupta. After eight rounds of questions covering Indian history, science, geography, history, rapid-fire, general knowledge, and complete Indian geography, the teams securing the first, second, and third positions were selected.
In the junior category, Ishita Garg and Inaya Vashisht from DC Montessori School, Manimajra secured the first position. Pulkit Jain and Ridhi Suri from Manav Mangal School, Sector 11, secured the second position, and Divya and Kunal Modgil from Blue Bird, Sector 16, secured the third position. Kamakshi and Vignansh Mishra from Shri Vivekanand School, Pinjore, were awarded an encouragement prize.
In the senior category, Anvi Gaur and Meghna from DC Montessori School, Manimajra, secured the first position. Jayesh Sharma and Pushkar Bhardwaj from Manav Mangal School, Sector 11, Panchkula, secured the second position, and Bhavya and Jiya from Nigania Vidya Mandir, Panchkula, secured the third position. Nivedita Bakshi and Aditya Kumar Pandey from Army Public School, Chandi Mandir, were awarded an encouragement prize.
At the conclusion of the program, Dr. R.S. Chandra expressed his gratitude to the esteemed guests, participating schools, and all the children who secured victory.
