On Tuesday, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Laljit Singh Bhullar, the Minister of Rural Development and Panchayats, reached the village of Nawa in the Moonak area of Sangrur. There, he liberated 24 acres of panchayati land.
Addressing the media, Bhullar reiterated the party’s commitment to fulfilling every promise. He informed that the ongoing efforts of the government in Punjab to liberate encroachments on government land continue.
In a significant move, Bhullar handed over the government’s 24 acres of land to the people. He asserted that the land had been cultivated by farmers for a long time. However, now it has been relinquished, and in the future, the land will be openly available for farming. He also emphasized that those who have encroached upon government land in Punjab will face strict action.
Bhullar spoke about the pivotal role of former Chief Minister Bibi Rajinder Kaur Bhattal in the area. He highlighted her significant contributions and warned others who have not yet released encroachments on government land to do so willingly. Otherwise, stringent measures will be taken against them.
Bhullar concluded by expressing hope that the government’s efforts would promote communal harmony in villages. He mentioned that Punjab has seen a series of such efforts, including the release of encroachments in other areas by Panchayat Minister Kuldip Dhaliwal.
