Over 500 people take shelter in Assam after violence in Manipur

Over 500 individuals from Manipur, which recently experienced violent incidents, have sought refuge in the Cachar district of Assam, according to officials.

The district administration has made necessary arrangements for their accommodation, with the displaced individuals being housed in schools and other facilities.

“We are monitoring the situation and have made all necessary arrangements for them,” said Numal Mahatta, Superintendent of Police for Cachar district.
